As we wrapped up February, we recognized a group of students as our Leaders of the Pack for demonstrating the leadership habit “Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood.” This habit reminds us to listen carefully to others’ ideas and perspectives before sharing our own. These students showed great leadership by being thoughtful listeners, showing empathy, and making an effort to understand others.
As we move into our next habit of the month, “Synergize,” students will focus on the power of teamwork. Synergy means working together and valuing everyone’s ideas to create solutions that are even better than what one person could create alone. We’re excited to see our students continue to grow as leaders by collaborating, respecting different viewpoints, and supporting one another.
We are so excited for Garrett and hope he enjoys all the prizes. Thank you again to all of our families who supported the Book Blast and helped make it such a fun and successful event for our students.
Thank you to all of our families for supporting our Book Blast fundraiser! Because of your participation and generosity, we were able to raise enough funds to provide nearly 2,000 books for our students.
The best part? Every student at Corral Drive received at least two new books to take home and keep. There is nothing better than helping students build their own personal libraries and grow their love of reading.
It made the moment even more special that the books were delivered during Read Across America Week, which is all about celebrating reading and the joy that books bring.

As the weather continues to warm up and to ensure a smooth and safe dismissal, we ask that the playground remain clear from 2:45 to 2:55 PM. This allows students to safely walk or bike home, find their bus, or meet their ride without congestion or confusion.
Students who plan to play on the playground need to check in with their parent first and wait until 2:55 PM. At that time, they may return to the playground with parent supervision.

Reminder for this week:
On Friday February 6th, we will have a Raider Day at school to show our school spirit and Raider Pride. Students are encouraged to wear blue or their Future Raider shirt Friday the 6th.
Then, on Saturday February 7th, elementary students, wear your Future Raider shirt and get in free to the games! Girls Varsity starts at 1pm and Boys Varsity starts at 2:30pm. The first 250 students will get a pom-pom to cheer with and they will also have a chance to win different raffle prizes. Our grand prize is a Nintendo Switch, donated by Davis and Associates, American Family Insurance.
